✔
Joint mobilisation
Joint mobilisation is a highly beneficial hands-on therapeutic approach in osteopathy, involving the gentle manipulation of joints by a practitioner. This technique aims to passively enhance joint function, promoting pain reduction and overall improvement in joint health.
✔
Soft tissue manipulation
Soft tissue techniques such as Muscle Energy Techniques, Trigger Point Therapy and Myofascial Release are used to ease tension in the muscles and connective tissues. This in turn helps to increase mobility, improves circulation and reduces inflammation within the soft tissues.
✔
Joint manipulation
Joint manipulation reduces restrictions within your joints, often performed with a quick and precise movement. Sometimes when this technique is performed you can hear an audible ‘click’. This is caused by gas releasing from the joint. This technique increases the mobility of a specific joint, helping to reduce pain locally and improve the function of the spine as a whole.
